Lotus Evora is a mid-engine, 4-seat, luxury sports coupe. Lotus shows the rear seats only suitable for children or small adults, and that the car can be ordered without it; additional cargo area will take place. This machine was 276-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 sourced from Toyota. A 6-speed manual - also from Toyota - will be the only transmission at launch. A 6-speed automatic with steering-wheel paddle shifters is due later in the model.
The Evora weighs just under 3000 pounds and rides on 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch tear. Available safety equipment includes ABS and traction control, front-side airbags, curtain side airbags, and anti-slip systems that are not offered. Other available features include leather upholstery, aluminum interior trim, and navigation systems. This evaluation is based on a short preview test drive.
